Who wrote the questions?

Victoria Young, DDS, a graduate of NYU College of Dentistry who completed a residency at Penn Dental Medicine. She wrote every question and every note from her own interviews and from students she has coached.

What is actually in it

Most question lists give you the questions and stop, which is the part you could have guessed. Every question in this one carries four things underneath it:

What the interviewer is really assessing, which is usually not what the question appears to ask.
A structure for the answer, so you are not composing shape and content at the same time.
The points a strong answer hits, in the order they land best.
The trap — the specific wrong turn most applicants take on that question.

Reading is not practicing

You can read a hundred questions in an evening. You will have said none of them out loud.

That gap is the whole problem. The first time you hear your own answer to "why dentistry" should not be in the room, and reading the guide will not fix it — hearing yourself will. That is what the mock interview is for.
