Why this exists

Admitted was built by a young dentist who still remembers the interviews, the waiting, and that December email.

A great interview is more than a perfect answer to “Why dentistry?” It’s how you handle the unexpected questions, whether you ramble, how you navigate silence, and whether you can have a warm, natural conversation with someone you just met.

Admitted is built only for dental school interviews. The questions cover hand skills, dental ethics, sim lab, and other topics specific to dental school. Good luck to everyone applying this cycle!

School guides

Interviewing at a specific school?

Applicant-reported interview formats, class size, and practice questions about each school, for all 76 U.S. dental schools.

What you're actually practicing

Content is only half of it. Interviewers are reading your pace, your posture, and whether you rush — the parts you can't fix by rereading your personal statement.

🎙

A voice, not a flashcard

Pick your interviewer. They greet you, ask out loud, wait, and move on whether you're ready or not. Question text can be blurred so you're listening, not reading.

They push back

Answer in 20 seconds and you get "walk me through a specific time." Say "we" eleven times and never "I" and they'll ask what your role was. Follow-ups react to what you actually said.

📊

The tape doesn't lie

Every answer scored on pace against the 120–150 wpm target, filler-word rate, length against the two-minute ideal, and whether you paused to think or blurted.

Small talk

"Where are you joining us from?" is not filler — it's the first read on your chairside manner. Nobody else trains it. This does, and scores it separately.

🧭

Coaching, not scripts

Every question carries what they’re really assessing, how to structure it, the points to hit, and the trap most applicants fall into. Hidden until you've answered.

🔒

Your tape stays yours

Video and audio recordings never leave your browser — no account, no upload, no one watching but you. Live transcription is handled by your browser's speech service. Details.
